Formed in 2004, this auditioned community handbell ensemble is based in south-central Pennsylvania. They performed their inaugural concerts in Lebanon and Carlisle on April 30 and May 1, 2004. The fourteen member group performs seasonally in the Spring and Winter on seven octaves of Malmark Handbells, Handchimes, and assorted other instruments.
The ensemble was formed to fulfill the need for an auditioned community ensemble comprised of persons able to play advanced literature, interested in advancing the art of handbell ringing through education and performance, and interested in uniting people through this musical art.
The ensemble is under the direction of Artistic Director, Shawn Gingrich. |

The Hershey Handbell Ensemble is currently seeking performance and teaching venues for Spring 2012 and future concert seasons. A small ensemble, which can ring a selection of seasonal pieces, is also available for booking in non-concert settings.
