The Hershey Handbell Ensemble

Formed in 2004, this auditioned community handbell ensemble is based in south-central Pennsylvania. They performed their inaugural concerts in Lebanon and Carlisle in Spring of 2004.  The fourteen member group performs seasonally in April and December (and as arranged) on seven octaves of Malmark Handbells, Handchimes, and assorted other instruments.

The ensemble was formed to fulfill the need for an auditioned community ensemble comprised of persons able to play advanced literature, interested in advancing the art of handbell ringing through education and performance, and interested in uniting people through this musical art.

The ensemble is under the direction of Artistic Director, Dr. Shawn Gingrich.
